- No. The .docx file is unzipped and converted entirely in your browser. Nothing ever leaves your device.
- Which Word files are supported?
- Modern .docx files only (Word 2007 and later). Legacy .doc files use a different binary format — re-save them as .docx in Word first, then convert.
- What formatting is preserved?
- Headings, bold, italic, strikethrough, bullet and numbered lists, tables, and hyperlinks. Images, footnotes, comments, and complex layout are skipped — text content is preserved.
- Is there a file size limit?
- Yes, 20 MB per file. Larger documents still convert but can be slow on phones — split very large reports first if needed.
