FAQ

Are my project files uploaded to a server?
No. The file is decompressed, rewritten, and recompressed entirely in your browser with native gzip streams. Your project never leaves your device.
What does downgrading actually change?
Only the Version number on the root <PremiereData> element. Every other byte of your project is preserved. Premiere then attempts to migrate the project on open.
Which target version should I pick?
Version 1 forces maximum compatibility and works in most cases. To match an exact Premiere, save an empty project in that older Premiere, inspect it here to read its number, then use that number as a custom target.
Will everything in my project survive?
Not necessarily. Effects, transitions, or tools that do not exist in the older Premiere will be dropped or broken on open. Open the result, check it, and save as a new file. Always keep your original.
Is there a file size limit?
Yes: 100 MB per .prproj file. Most project files are far smaller than this.
